What information will convert from prior versions of Timeslips? [ Top ]
All data will convert, as well as any custom bill templates, preferences, custom spell-check dictionaries, custom Navigator templates and Timeslips Today templates.
Will existing reports created in earlier versions of Timeslips convert to the new report design tool in Timeslips 2009? [ Top ]

How long does it take to install and setup? [ Top ]
The actual installation takes less than five minutes. The time needed to convert data depends largely on the size of the database and can range from a few minutes to more than an hour. As soon as the product is installed and converted, you can pick up right where you left off in your bill cycle.
Can I install this upgrade onto a new computer that does not have a prior Timeslips version installed? [ Top ]
No. A Timeslips 2009 upgrade must be installed onto a computer with a prior version. If you want to move Timeslips to a new computer, you can either use the Reinstallation Code feature of Timeslips v11 and above or, for older versions, you can refer to the Timeslips Knowledge Center at www.timeslips.com/support/kcenter/ for detailed reinstallation instructions.

Yes, a separate Remote Plus upgrade is required for each existing Remote installation that a customer wishes to upgrade to Remote Plus. However, not all Remotes must be upgraded to Remote Plus. Timeslips 2009 supports a mix of standard Remote and Remote Plus installations. One Remote Plus upgrade must be purchased for each Remote to be upgraded.

How can I tell what version I have, the number of stations and other license information? [ Top ]
In Windows versions of Timeslips, click on Help; About Timeslips. In older DOS versions, the version number is displayed at the top of the screen and capacities can be found by selecting Settings; Terminology & Capacity.
Can I access Timeslips 2009 using Terminal Services? [ Top ]
Yes, Timeslips 2009 is compatible with windows Terminal Services. An available Timeslips network license is required for each computer accessing Timeslips via Terminal Services, but is only required for as long as the remote computer is logged in.
